THE 2010 PSSA VOTER'S GUIDE IS HERE!  [Download - 800k pdf]
Look for the print copy around campus during finals week.
Special thanks to PSSA members and guide contributors
Ashley Whirrell (President), Tony Beatty, Katy Cochran, and Michael Payne. Good job!!

This voter’s guide is designed to assist North Georgia College and State University students in the July 20th vote. Included are the Democratic and Republican nominating primaries for state and federal offices.

NOTE: Only candidates in contested primaries are shown. Because of space limitations, where there is only one candidate for a party nomination, no information is included.

NOTE: This guide is being produced BEFORE the filing deadline for the July primaries. This means that the candidates listed in this guide are unofficial. Others may declare and qualify, and some in this guide may not qualify.

This guide is a unique benefit to NGCSU students as the questions reprinted here were gathered from our students. In the fall of 2009, students were surveyed on the issues about which they are most concerned. This guide presents candidate information for the three top responses in the governor’s and 9th congressional district races.

We’ve done our best to provide as much information as possible given both space limitations and information availability. We apologize for any errors or omissions. Every effort was made to accurately represent candidate positions. This guide was produced in the NGCSU Print Services (thanks to Joyce Sutton and Janet Thrasher for their usual hard work and excellence!) using funding from the SGA. The PSSA thanks both for their efforts.

Important note about VOTER REGISTRATION: To vote in the July 20th primary, you must be registered by June 21st. To vote in the November general election, you must register by October 4th. For registration information, see: http://sos.georgia.gov/elections/how_to_register.htm NOTE: Unless otherwise indicated, all information is from candidates’ web sites.
