The N.G.C.S.U.
Invisible Children club was formed in response to the 2003 documentary
"Invisible Children: Rough Cut." This club serves as a tool to raise
awareness and empower the students on this campus to create real and
lasting change for invisible children (or invisible circumstances) all
over the world. This year we will continue to work towards our goals of
raising awareness and financial aid for the people of Northern Uganda.
This club is open to all students, faculty, administrators, and staff at N.G.C.S.U. We also encourage members of the community to get involved. "We are part of a society where our neighbors are no longer merely those who live next door but those who live across the world. The people of Northern Uganda have become our friends, and we believe that together we can make a difference. We are joined by those who haven't given way to apathy but who have chosen to be a part of the solution by becoming a part of the story. (www.invisiblechildren.com)"
***For more information on the non-profit Invisible Children, Inc., the war in Uganda, and what you can do to help, contact an officer of the N.G.C.S.U. Invisible Children's Club (email addresses can be found on the officers' page). You can also find information by reading the Invisible Children media kit.*** |
